  The Federal University Gashua (FUGA) in Yobe State has reacted to the assault of one its senior lecturers, Samiu Dagari, of the Chemistry Department by political thugs. Dagari was allegedly attacked after he claimed that some politicians in Nguru, his hometown, are involved in sorcery, sodomy and other evil acts. The unidentified persons were said to have confronted the lecturer and started beating him up until other passersby intervened. Reacting to the incident, the institution Registrar, Abubakar Mamuda, in a statement on Thursday, debunked the claim alleging that its students flogged one of its senior lecturers, Samiu Dagari of the Chemistry Department.
